Neuroprotection induced by liraglutide administration in the acute ischaemic stroke model is dose-dependent. Rats were subjected to 90-min MCAO, followed by 24-h reperfusion. Vehicle or liraglutide was administered as i.v. bolus at the onset of reperfusion.
