Data presented as mean (sd) or as amedian (interquartile range). For continuous variables P was calculated by two-tailed t test and for categorical variables P was calculated by chi square test or Fisher’s exact test. Two women from the GDM group only had fasting blood samples taken at the follow up visit. Eleven samples of fasting glucose were coagulated and rejected by the department investigating glucose.
