ST6GAL2 promotes breast cancer cell viability in vitro and tumor growth in vivo. (A) Expression of ST6GAL2 in five breast cancer cell lines detected by Western blot. (B, C) The expression of ST6GAL2 was suppressed in MCF-7 and T47D cells. MCF-7 and T47D cells were transduced with lentivirus to knockdown ST6GAL2 or with a negative control (NC), and (D, E) at 0, 12, 24, 48, and 72 h after transfection, cell viability was detected by CCK-8 assay. Results are reported as mean ± SD (n=3). MCF-7 cells transduced with lentivirus to knockdown ST6GAL2 or NC in 0.1 mL PBS were subcutaneously injected into the right armpit of nude mice. Thirty-three days after injection, tumor weight (F) and volume (G) were measured. Results are reported as mean ± SD (n=6). Data are statistically analyzed with (AC) one-way or (D, E, G) two-way ANOVA followed by post-hoc Tukey’s test. **P<0.01 compared with NC.
