The stress of the nMDS plot is 0.067 (also see Fig. S5). Differences in multivariate space are significant for site and history interactions (PERMANOVA R2 = 14.8%, P = 0.001). See Table S3 for pair-wise PERMANOVA test for reference and reclamation soils per site. nMDS and UPGMA cluster dendrograms were constructed by using the vegan (v. 2.5.5) and dendextend (v. 1.12.0) packages of R software (https://cran.r-project.org/), respectively.
