Uptake of cholesterol effluxed from THP1 macrophages by different cell types. Confluent monolayers of indicated cell types were exposed to effluxed medium (final concentration 20%) and cellular uptake was determined as described in the Methods section. Data (mean ± SEM, n = 6) are expressed as disintegrations per minute (dpm)/mg cellular protein.
