DOCK5 deficiency results in Rac1 inhibition and the activation of mTOR/mTORC1 (raptor)/S6K1 signaling to increase the phosphorylation of IRS‐1Ser1101 and inhibit InsR‐Akt phosphorylation cascades. These changes facilitate the hepatic gluconeogenesis and exacerbate both glucose metabolic disorders and IR.
