A threshold of 80% total shape variation explained was used to determine the number of principal components used for reconstructions from complete segmentation (dashed vertical line). Three principal components were used for reconstructions generated from sparse anatomical landmarks (solid vertical line). The midfoot segment includes the second-to-fifth metatarsal, cuneiforms (medial, intermediate, and lateral), cuboid, and navicular.
