37. Plants of Palmae intended for planting other than seeds, originating in non‐European countries Without prejudice to the prohibitions applicable to the plants listed in Annex III(A)(17), where appropriate, official statement that:
  1. (a) either the plants originate in an area known to be free from Palm lethal yellowing mycoplasm and Cadang‐Cadang viroid, and no symptoms have been observed at the place of production or in its immediate vicinity since the beginning of the last complete cycle of vegetation; or

  2. (b) no symptoms of Palm lethal yellowing mycoplasm and Cadang‐Cadang viroid have been observed on the plants since the beginning of the last complete cycle of vegetation, and plants at the place of production which have shown symptoms giving rise to the suspicion of contamination by the organisms have been rogued out at that place and the plants have undergone appropriate treatment to rid them of Myndus crudus Van Duzee;

  3. (c) in the case of plants in tissue culture, the plants were derived from plants which have met the requirements laid down in (a) or (b)
