Coverage of HLA loci using MIA FORA NGS HLA typing kit. Human genomic DNA was amplified by long-range PCR, targeting 11 HLA genes in nine all-in-one master mixes. Location of HLA region on human chromosome 6 is indicated at the top of the figure; each following line represents a different targeted HLA locus. Purple boxes at each end represent untranslated regions; light blue boxes represent exons in Class I loci; red boxes represent exons in Class II loci; red arrows represent positions of primers used for long-range PCR. HLA-DRB1, 3, 4, 5 loci were amplified together in two separate reactions; the boxed region on the left represents the exon 1 amplified region.
