The activity of autoantibodies against the β1-adrenergic receptor recorded as spontaneously beating of cultured neonatal rat cardiomyocytes in response to the immunoglobulins (IgG). The figure represents the difference between the basal beating rate and the increase after stimulation that is suppressed by omega-3. IgG was prepared from an adult male (A) and female (B) rat blood serum. WISc—Wistar control rats; WISo3—WISc fed with omega-3; SHRc—spontaneously hypertensive rats; SHRo3—SHRc fed with omega-3; sec—seconds; BR— beating rate. n = 6 in each group.
