The difference between the measured specific heat of water and ice Ih. According to ref. [45], such a quantity gives a good estimation of the configurational contribution: CPConf=ΔCP=CPCPIh. The data deal with water in the following samples: silica gels (6, 12, and 52 nm pore sizes), MCM (1.6, 1.8 nm [53,54] and 2, 2.4 nm (new data)). The values coming from thermodynamical considerations are also reported [45].
