Schematic drawing of N-glycan processing. The oligosaccharides comprising 14 sugars were first transferred to an Asn residue, and the N-glycans were subsequently processed and matured by the ordered actions of various glycosyltransferases and glycosidases. Monosaccharide symbols follow the symbol nomenclature for glycans (SNFG) system [15].
