Vitamin D repletion corrects aberrant muscle mass signalling pathways in Ctns^−/− mice. Protein concentrations of inflammatory cytokine (IL‐1β, IL‐6, and TNF‐α) and mRNA levels of key molecules associated with myogenesis (Murf‐1, atrogin‐1, and myostatin) and skeletal muscle regeneration (IGF‐1, Pax7, and MyoD) in gastrocnemius muscle were shown.
