(B) IOD manifests fragmented nuclear DNA due to DSB. Maximum IOD indicating the immediate formation of DSB is observed immediately after irradiation followed by decrease with post-irradiation time due to DSB repair. Almost all DSB are repaired by 5 h post-irradiation.
