Characterization of 2D-cultured HROC24 and HROC87 cells. Both cell lines express E-cadherin ((B,F), green in (D,H)) and β-catenin ((C,G), red in (D,H)) as well as PCK ((J,N), green in (L,P)), but no vimentin ((K,O), red in (L,P)). E-cadherin and β-catenin clearly co-localize at the cell-to-cell borders in HROC87 tumor cells (yellow in (H)). Cell nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (A,E,I,M).
