Delay in fracture diagnosis and its effect on neurological deterioration. The percentage of fracture cases with a delay in diagnosis, either due to patient- or doctor-related factors were significantly higher in the thoracolumbar group (a). Neurological worsening was significantly higher in the thoracolumbar group and in cases with delayed diagnosis (b).
