MS spectra obtained by HPTLC–MS analysis of STS from giant knotweed leaves on HPTLC diol F254S plate pre-developed and developed with acetonitrile. The bolded m/z values in the MS spectra belong to B-type proanthocyanidins and their gallates, which were eluted from the plate with acetonitrile–methanol (2:1, v/v). A part of the plate was derivatized with DMACA reagent.
