Experiment using positive control (LPS) was done as follows:100 μg/body of LPS (Lipopolysaccharide from E. coli 0111: B4, Chondrex, Inc., WA, U.S.A.) was administered to 8 weeks old male C57BL/6 mouse fed with ND, and blood sample was collected 24 h after LPS administration. Plasma fibrinogen, and D-dimer levels were 261 mg/dl, 0.32 μg/ml, respectively. n.d: not done.
