The IFNL4 gene is poorly expressed in primary porcine epithelial cells. Porcine airway epithelial cells (pAECs) were treated with 10 μg/ml poly(I·C) via the basolateral surface for 18 h. Expression levels of IFNL2 and IFNL4 mRNA were assessed by semiquantitative PCR and visualized by agarose gel electrophoresis. The experiment was performed in biological triplicates.
