These numbers exclude GEMS MSD data from Kenya.

The 12 deaths in children with LSD include five (41·6%) girls and seven (58·3%) boys, paralleling the sex distribution of enrolled LSD cases (1492 [47·0%] girls, 1682 [53·0%] boys).
