Mean CAP amplitude vs. level functions for 16 kHz (A), 24 kHz (B), and 32 kHz (C) for the control group (perfused with artificial perilymph), the TNF-α group and the prevention group (animals received etanercept 2 h prior to receiving TNF-α). Amplitudes are normalized to the 80 dB SPL pre-intracochlear perfusion response for each animal. Normalized amplitudes in TNF-α group are significantly decreased relative to control and prevention group at 32 kHz. ^*, ^† = statistically significant at p < 0.05 for control vs. TNF-α and TNF-α vs. prevention groups, respectively.
