The applied dilute solution was prepared by mixing 100 mL of each of the macronutrient stock solution (A and B) with 50 mL of the micronutrient (solution C) supplement and diluting to 4.5 L with deionized distilled water. The pH was adjusted to 6.0 by adding HCl or KOH.
