Quantitative mRNA expression level of visual cortical homogenates demonstrated no differences between Mecp2 WT and Mecp2 KO at P30. At P60, a general downregulation of some of the inhibitory markers. Only parvalbumin (Pvalb) mRNA levels were upregulated. P30, WT, KO n = 3; P60, WT, KO n = 4–6 mice. One-way ANOVA, *P < 0.05; **P < 0.01, Bonferroni post-test. # indicates significance between P30 and P60 WT, $ indicates significance between P30 and P60 KO and * indicates significance between P60 WT and P60 KO.
