In vivo MEA response to endogenous adenosine. Representative in vivo recording depicting the change in extracellular adenosine (+ADA site – sentinel site) during local application of 200 nL of 200 μM dipyridamole (DPR), a competitive inhibitor of the equilibrative nucleoside transporter (ENT). Local injection produced a transient 120% increase in extracellular adenosine that was reproducible (↑ time of injection).
