The effect of lipopolysaccharide (LSP) on the relative viability of A549 cells. A549 cells were treated with various concentrations of LPS (A) for 24, 48 and 72 h in the presence of 10% FBS, and (B) for 24 h in the presence of 10% or 4% FBS, respectively. The relative cell viability was determined by the MTT test as described in Material and Methods. The control value (100%) was determined in cells which were incubated without LPS.
