Excluded: signs of intracranial haemorrhage, TIA, lacunar stroke, cerebral tumour, heart failure.

Glycerol i.v. in 250 ml of saline and glucose 5% or 250 ml of NaCl 0.9% and glucose 5% over 2 hours q.i.d. for 6 days. |
