Ballistospores shoot in the S. pararoseus NGR. a The ballistospores have shot to the lid of the YPD plate to form mirror symmetry; b Colony morphology of the NGR patched on YPD plate. The trajectories of the ballistospores-shooting are perpendicular to the surface of the YPD plate. At the base of the ballistospores is a liquid droplet resulting from the drop coalescence that powers the explosive launch. The process of ballistospores-shooting is termed as “Buller’s drop” [29]
