Trial name or title Online cognitive training in PD, multiple sclerosis, and depressed patients treated with electroconvulsive therapy
Methods RCT vs active control condition (double‐blind) (n = 28).
Participants
  • Diagnosed with Parkinson's disease UKPDBB diagnostic criteria

  • Problems in cognition with deficits in executive function lying between 1 and 2 SDs below the mean of the healthy Dutch population

  • Stable medication

Interventions Online computerised cognitive training (targeting executive functions, attention, working memory, and processing speed) over 8 weeks, 3 times a week for 45 to 60 minutes.
Control group: active control condition of cognitive activities based on crystallised intelligence.
Outcomes Primary outcomes: feasibility over 8 weeks as reported by participants on a 4‐point Likert‐type scale.
Secondary outcomes:
  1. Cognitive functioning: Trail Making Task

  2. Subjective cognitive complaints: Cognitive Failures Questionnaire

  3. Executive functions: Stroop (Colour Word) Test

  4. Letter fluency, episodic memory: Rey Auditory Verbal Learning and Location Learning tests
