Molecular weight markers in kilodaltons are shown at the left. The expected size of each fusion protein is denoted in parentheses, with GFP at 27 kDa. All but ZipAΔP/Q-GFP run abnormally slowly, ∼16 kDa larger than predicted. All lanes were derived from the same blot but were spliced as shown.
