Microscopic examination: Site of infection; diffuse macrophages with plenty of internalized amastigotes infiltrated with a few polymorphs and lymphocytes without or rare granuloma formation in the site of infection of control groups(A) and many granulomas with entrapped amastigotes in vaccinated groups (B).
