† Cold tolerant lines were selected from 92 double haploid lines from a Norstar/Bergen cross initially completed at AAFC Lethbridge. Cold tolerant lines were selected based on demonstrated cold tolerance using LT₅₀ tests as described in Larsen (2012). Further selection criteria included yield and quality parameters.
