Local time–latitude distribution of radio occultation measurements made on Venus Express (dots) and Akatsuki (crosses) missions. An observation point is defined as the tangential point of the straight line connecting the spacecraft and tracking station at the moment that the spacecraft is occulted by the 50-km-altitude surface.
