Therapists: 5 psychology graduates, assignment to treatments not given
Treatment: Groups of 7‐13, up to 15 sessions over 7 weeks |

Cigarettes/day: 28. Age: 36 |
Interventions |
1. Preparation ‐ 2 sessions of scheduled smoking, pamphlet, film
2. Aversion ‐ 6 sessions over 1w with continuous 25 mins smoking (not rapid smoking). (Also urged to double daily smoking.)
3. Maintenance ‐ 7 sessions over 8w, group discussion and contracts
