  • Clusters randomly cross-over from control to intervention

  • All participant groups will eventually receive intervention

Advantages
  • Ethically more acceptable

  • Suitable for resource-scarce environments

  • Allows for longer term longitudinal observations of intervention

  • No downstream analysis possible as controls disappear
