Age, sex distribution, disease duration, BMI and clinical parameters at the time of sampling were assessed in healthy controls (HC) and patients with new-onset (N-T1D) and long-standing (L-T1D) type 1 diabetes, Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT), Graves' disease (GD), and autoimmune Addison's disease (AD). Normal ranges for clinical parameters are described (first column). All values are given as mean ± SEM. F, female; HbA1c, glycated hemoglobin; M, male; TSH, thyroid-stimulating hormone; T3, free triiodothyronine; T4, free thyroxine; yr, years.
