B, Superior, fallen posteriorly into the tracheoesophageal groove and no longer in contact with the posterior surface of the thyroid tissue. C, Superior, fallen posteriorly into the tracheoesophageal groove and no longer in contact with the posterior surface of the thyroid tissue at the inferior pole close to the clavicles.
