Ladostigil is composed of two fragments: the carbamate moiety of rivastigmine, which accounts for the inhibition of cholinesterases, merged with the N-(prop-2-yn-1-yl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-amine fragment of rasagiline, which blocks the monoamine oxidases (MAO) A and B [209]
