RV-C15 does not augment Cch- or Hist-induced phosphorylation of Akt (pAkt). HAEC were exposed to RV-C15 (10⁶ pfu; 48 h) or control buffer (CB). Conditioned medium was transferred to serum-starved HASM, and cells were stimulated with (A and B) Cch (10 μM; 10 min) or (A and C) Hist (1 μM; 10 min). pAkt was assessed and normalized to total Akt. Data represent mean ± SEM of three separate donors. P = not significant. Two-tailed paired t tests comparing each condition with control buffer were performed, as was two-way ANOVA.
