MD, RD, and AD are given in mm2/s * 10−3. Boxes indicate the interquartile range, bars indicate median values, and whiskers present the 95% CI. The dots present the individual values. Group comparisons were conducted using analysis of variance with the OR lesion volume as a covariate. p values < 0.05 were deemed to be statistically significant. Corrections for type-I errors were performed using the Holm-Bonferroni method on the resulting p values. Diffusion tensor imaging derived FA, MD, RD, and AD within the OR of ON group were altered compared with NON. AD = axial diffusivity, FA = fractional anisotropy, HON = history of optic neuritis, MD = mean diffusivity, NON = no history of optic neuritis, RD = radial diffusivity; ON = optic neuritis; OR = optic radiation.
