Expression of genes in BAT related with β-oxidation, lipid uptake and thermogenesis in Fischer 344 rats supplemented with orange lyophilizate from the southern hemisphere (OS) or vehicle (VH) held in a short-day (SD) photoperiod. Data are presented as the ratios of gene expression relative to Actb, Ppia and Hprt, and expressed as a percentage of the VHSD group, set at 100%. Results are presented as the mean ± SEM and data compared by Student’s t test (p < 0.05)
