The experiments were performed using biocatalysts having 1 mg of enzyme/g of support. The activities versus pNPB were measured as described in section “Materials and methods” at pH 7.0 and 25°C. The inactivations were performed at 70°C using 50 mM of Tris buffer at pH 7.0. Other specifications are described in section “Methods.”
