Response of carbon assimilation in Dionaea muscipula after stimulation of trigger hairs (t = 0) (trap temperature 25 °C, light intensity 1500 µmol m–2 s–1 PAR, CO2 concentration 400 µL L–1, relative air humidity 65 %). Measurements were conducted using the portable gas exchange measuring system GFS-3000 equipped with an integrated PAM Fluorometer 3033-FL-Module (Walz). Data shown are mean values based on 12 independent measurements of both fed and non-fed traps (no significant differences between fed and non-fed traps).
