Participants	100 infants of Birthweight <1500 grams Umbilical arterial or venous catheters Premature infants with fetal distress, severe hypoxia or hypotension Apgar scores of <7 at 5 minutes in infants <2000 grams
Interventions	Gentamycin enteral 2.5mg/kg 6 hourly for one week. Sterile water 6 hourly for one week
