(B) Cells were cultivated in a µ-slide I 0.8 Luer ibiTreat and the fluidic unit was connected with 1 × 10⁷ IEs. Different shear stresses were applied using the ibidi pump system. Parasites were enriched to bind to the respective receptor via at least seven rounds of selection. The number of adherent IEs was determined after 10 min of flow under various shear stresses (6, 4, 3, 2, 1.5, and 0.9 dyn/cm²). Bound IEs were counted in the total image field (0.2 mm²) and are represented as mean ± SEM. Examples of selected trajectories are shown S5 Movie.
