Level of soluble VCAM-1, soluble ICAM-1, and IL-8 in post-IVH CSF samples. CSF samples (n = 20) were obtained from preterm infants diagnosed with grade III IVH at different time intervals after the onset of IVH. (A,C,E) Soluble VCAM-1, ICAM-1, and IL-8 levels of CSF samples obtained at different time intervals after the onset of IVH (days 0–20, 21–40, 41–60) were determined by ELISA in duplicates. Closed circles represent individual samples, red circles represent patients that died before 6 months of age, and bars represent mean ± SD. P-values were calculated using one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s multiple comparison analysis.
