Time course of Aβ25-35 oxidation by peroxymonocarbonate. To a reaction mixture containing 10 μM Aβ25-35 in 0.1 M phosphate buffer, pH 7.4, and 0.1 mM DTPA, peroxymonocarbonate was added at 0.8 mM final concentration. At various time intervals of incubation at 37 °C, the reaction was stopped by addition of catalase (400 U/mL) and the reaction products were analyzed by HPLC.
