Asterisk (*) indicates significant difference from the corresponding non-diabetic control whereas the boxed circle (Inline graphic) indicates significant difference after application of 4-AP from the same non-diabetic or diabetic ACSF group (p < 0.05; Jonckheere–Terpstra k independent groups test).
