Characterization of ADP-ribosylation by ADP-ribosyltransferase (ART)1 of mouse heart and skeletal muscle proteins. Art1-deficient mouse heart and skeletal muscle contained very few proteins ADP-ribosylated on arginine residues compared to the wild-type, which suggested that ART1 is a major contributor to ADP-ribosylation in skeletal muscle and heart.
