Confirmation of the purity of the protein isolated from Atlantic salmon skin mucus. Lactose binding protein from Atlantic salmon skin mucus was isolated by α-lactose agarose. The desalted eluate was run on a 15% SDS polyacrylamide gel under reducing conditions. The gel was stained by colloidal Coomassie G-250. Precision Plus, KaleidoscopeTM (ProteinTM Standards, Bio-Rad) protein marker was used as a molecular weight marker. A single band was observed.
