Schematic diagram of hypoxia-regulated TRPM7/HIF-1α/Annexin A1 signaling in androgen-independent prostate cancer cells. Hypoxia increased TRPM7 protein expression involving in the migration and invasion of androgen-independent prostate cancer cells, which implying poor prognosis. Suppression of TPRM7 inhibited dephosphorylation of RACK1 to enhance the binding of RACK1 to HIF-1α by competing with HSP90, then promoted the degradation of HIF-1α in the proteasome. Annexin A1 (ANXA1) acted as a downstream target for TRPM7/HIF-1α signaling controlling the migration and invasion of androgen-independent prostate cancer cells.
